On your PC, uncompress the
ZIP file into the Add-on folder in your Palm Desktop directory.

Copy the PQA file(s) into
the Add-on folder in your Palm Desktop directory on your
PC as well.
4.
Double-click the
Palm Desktop icon on your desktop.
5.
Select the Install icon in
the left margin. Tip: You can also access the Install
Tool dialog box by selecting Install Tool from the Palm
Desktop program group or by double-clicking on any file
with a PRC or PQA file extension.
6.
In the User drop-down menu,
select the name that corresponds to your organiser.
7.
Click Add.
8.
Select the applications from
your Add-on folder that you want to install on your organiser.
9.
Click Open.
10.
Perform a HotSync
operation to install the applications you selected.
11.
On your Palm organiser,
go to Preferences >> Wireless, and then set the
proxy to 63.97.179.31.
12.
Go to Preferences >>
Connection and click on New.
13.
Do the following

Tap OK.
15.
Go to Preferences
>> Network and tap on the top-left hand corner of
the screen.

A drop-down menu
appears under Service. Tap New.

Fill up the your dial-up
settings for your ISP
Service:
Dial-up
User Name:
(Your dial-up User Name)
Password:
(Your dial-up password)
Connection:
PQA
Phone:
(The phone
number of your dial-up ISP)

Exit "Home" icon
just below the Details button.

If you have downloaded our Singapore Lottery, tap on
it and you will see an index page with our logo. Below
the logo, you shall see two links: 4D and Toto.
If you have downloaded our Weather Forecasts, tap on
it and you will see an index page with our logo as well.
From here, you can see the different regions in the
world.
20.
Activate the Infra-red
feature on your mobile phone. Make sure the Infra-red
receiver/transmitter on your mobile phone is facing the
Infra-red receiver/transmitter on your PDA.
21.
Tap on any of the
links on the index page. Your PDA will attempt to dial-up
to your ISP with your mobile phone. Be patient here, it
will take quite a while to establish a connection with
your ISP.
For
United States residents using Palm VII or PalmVIIx
1.
Download
Singapore Lottery and/or
Weather
Forecasts onto your PC. The file(s) you will
be downloading is/are Lottery.pqa and/or Weather.pqa
respectively.
2.
On
your PC, copy the PQA(s) into the Add-on folder in your
Palm Desktop directory.
3.
Double-click
the Palm Desktop icon on your desktop.
4.
Select
the Install icon in the left margin. Tip: You can
also access the Install Tool dialog box by selecting
Install Tool from the Palm Desktop program group or
by double-clicking on any file with a PRC or PQA file
extension.
5.
In
the User drop-down menu, select the name that corresponds
to your organiser.
6.
Click
Add.
7.
Select the PQA(s)
from your Add-on folder that you want to install on
your organiser.
8.
Click
Open.
9.
Perform
a HotSync operation to install the PQA(s).
You will see channelnewsasia.com icon(s) on
your Palm VII or Palm VIIx organiser. Just tap on it/them
and you are ready to go.
Once the connection is established, you are
on-track to accessing the latest news, weather forecasts
and/or Singapore 4D & Toto lottery results from channelnewsasia.com.
Channelnewsasia.com has successfully tested the installation
with the following: Palm Vx with PalmOS v3.5, Nokia 8210
mobile phone, SingNet dial-up account and a SingTel Mobile
data services subscription.
